The nomination period for the Board, TSC, Affiliate Council, and Work Group Co-Chair positions is open today, May 1, though June 15, 2023.
The following table describes the leadership positions being elected this year and eligibility requirements, identifies who can submit nominations, and provides a link to each
nomination site.

demonstrated prior leadership experience in HL7 within the past five years such as committee or council chair, Work Group co-chair, TSC member, or member of the Board of Directors; have demonstrated knowledge of existing TSC practices by either being a current
member of the TSC, a former member of the TSC in the past five years, a formal observer to the TSC for the past six months (50% attendance of the TSC conference calls and/or participating on a TSC sub-committee or task force); have the endorsement of at least
one current TSC member |

Note:
There shall be no solicitation for nomination or subsequent campaigning conducted on
any HL7 managed electronic communications. Any such activity shall be cause for disqualification.
As noted above, the Nomination Packet is available from each of the links above. This packet contains provides forms that each Nominee must complete and submit before the June
15, 2023 deadline.
To assist with the nomination period, below are positions up for nomination/election and a statement indicating whether the individual currently holding the position is eligible
for re-election:
2023 Board Positions up for Nomination/Election:
- Treasurer – position currently held by Floyd Eisenberg, who is not eligible for re-election.
- HL7 Director – positions currently held by Catherine Chronaki and John Loonsk, both of whom are eligible for re-election.
- HL7 Affiliate Director – positions currently held by Peter Jordan, who is not eligible to be re-elected and Giorgio Cangioli, who is eligible
to be re-elected.
2023 TSC Positions up for Nomination/Election:
- TSC Chair elect
- Implementer Rep – position currently held by Rick Geimer, who is eligible for re-election.
- International Affiliate Rep - position held by Giorgio Cangioli, who is not eligible for re-election.
- 2 Work Group Reps – positions held by Gora Datta and Ulrike Merrick, both of whom are eligible for re-election.
International Council Positions up for Nomination/Election:
- Co-Chairs – position currently held by Ron Parker, who is eligible for re-election.
