The nomination period for the Board, TSC, Affiliate Council, and Work Group Co-Chair positions is open today, May 1, though June 15, 2023.

 

The following table describes the leadership positions being elected this year and eligibility requirements, identifies who can submit nominations, and provides a link to each nomination site.

HL7 Treasurer

Nominees for an Officer position (Chair-elect, Secretary, or Treasurer) must have been a current individual member or designated voting representative of a current Organizational member of HL7 International for at least the last two years and shall have prior leadership experience in HL7 such as committee or council chair, Work Group co-chair, TSC member, or member of the Board of Directors.

 

All current individual members and the designated voting representatives of current organizational and Affiliate members.

HL7 Directors (2)

Nominees for HL7 Director must be current individual members or designated voting representatives of current Organizational members and shall have held leadership positions at the Work Group, council, and/or committee level or have comparable experience in other organizations.

Nominees for International Council Co-chair must be a current member of an HL7 International Affiliate.

 

Nominations for International Council Co-chair shall be accepted from Affiliate member designated voting representatives.

TSC Chair Elect

Nominees for TSC Chair Elect must be current individual members or designated voting representatives of current Organizational members and shall have demonstrated prior leadership experience in HL7 within the past five years such as committee or council chair, Work Group co-chair, TSC member, or member of the Board of Directors;  have demonstrated knowledge of existing TSC practices by either being a current member of the TSC, a former member of the TSC in the past five years, a formal observer to the TSC for the past six months (50% attendance of the TSC conference calls and/or participating on a TSC sub-committee or task force); have the endorsement of at least one current TSC member

Current individual members and the designated voting representatives of current organizational members.

Any representative of current Affiliate member. Though not required, should be either a current or past Work Group Co-Chair.

The nomination and election schedule is as follows:

 

May 1 - June 15

45-day nomination period

June 16 - 30

Final slate prepared by the Leadership Development and Nomination Committee

Nominee profiles loaded to the election site

July 1 - 31

30-day election period

August 7 - 21

2-week run-off election (if needed)

September 13

Results announced at the Annual Business Meeting

 

Note: There shall be no solicitation for nomination or subsequent campaigning conducted on any HL7 managed electronic communications.  Any such activity shall be cause for disqualification.

 

As noted above, the Nomination Packet is available from each of the links above. This packet contains provides forms that each Nominee must complete and submit before the June 15, 2023 deadline.
