I could make up an excuse about how the dog ate my homework, but she’s a picky eater and won’t go near this stuff. I could craft an elaborate story about how a FHIR-breathing dragon stole my whiteboard for its treasure hoard, but all of this work is in the cloud. I could tell you about how the battery in my wife’s car died and threw a wrench into both of our schedules, but I don’t think anyone would get a charge out of that (neither did the battery). Yes, that was a pun. And yes, that one actually happened.

The truth is that it’s been a busy week and I’ve had precious little time to actually get work done. I need time to think about MolVar, and Aly needs time to lay the groundwork for a possible demo at the Connectathon, so let’s skip the IM call in the morning. We’ll make a little progress over the next couple of days and reconvene next week.

As someone said to me today, it’s ok to say you’re doing the best you can. If you needed to hear that tonight, take a breath, feel good about what you have done today, and get some rest. Give yourself some grace. The work will still be there tomorrow.
