Is the allowability of publishing a CDA IG with a “pre-release” LOINC code a question for the TSC or maybe CMG?

The project sponsor is SDWG, but I think this is more of an HL7 publications question.

Hi Dave and Lynn,

The POLST CDA project now has final, published LOINC codes for all but one item. We’ve been told that LOINC can create that last one perhaps this week, but the term will be in “pre-release”. I assume it will be in that state until the next LOINC publication cycle (maybe 6 months from now?).

 

Can HL7 publish a CDA IG (old-style PDF zip package, not a web IG) with a “pre-release” LOINC code?

These pre-release codes are listed on their website (https://loinc.org/prerelease/).
