Hi all

I was asked to take the question below to TSC

“What should happen to Jira trackers logged against an IG that is retired in HL7?”

It was discussed on this morning’s (4/11/2022) call and here is some initial thoughts

It seemed logical that TSC should start monitoring that there are no unresolved Trackers when a standard is retired.  This might take these three forms

-Closing a tracker as “never fixing”/nonpersuasive

-Closing with a note that says addressed in specific version(s) that are not retired

-Move unresolved but important trackers to a non-retired version if there is one (Melba is looking into this possibility)

When an IG is retired, the ability to log a tracker against it would be deprecated (Melba discussing this possibility with Lloyd)

No final decisions have been made and we will continue to discuss but these initial thoughts should guide us/CDA IG Workgroups that have retired or will be retiring IG’s to review the existing trackers with hopes to close them or at least note they should be done in another version.

I hope this is helpful and I will continue to follow in TSC.

Linda
